I missed last week's P52 challenge because I was sick and busy... :( BUT!! I snapped a couple shots this morning that are, in my opinion, perfect for this week's theme "Drink Up."
I had a million ideas for this weeks photo. Most of them revolving around wine or tea. {Because let's be real, other than water with lemon, wine and tea are pretty much all I drink.} And then I had a few thoughts that didn't involve wine. Those revolved around my dying pink orchid Michael gave me back in September. As I was watering it I actually said "Drink up little plant, don't die on me now!" That was my "Ah ha Moment!" But no, that's not actually what I took my photo of.
Today is the coldest day of the season. I guess that silly groundhog was right. Winter just had not arrived yet. It's a high for 40 today here in Chesapeake, but with the wind chill it feels like 22 degrees. This is by far the coldest day we have had all season.
I opened up the front door of my little townhouse, letting the glass storm door shine the warmth and light in from the sun. The pets flocked to the door to "drink up" the sun. Not gonna lie... I found myself cuddled up with them enjoying the warmth and vitamin D.
Doesn't she have the sweetest border collie eyes?
Chloe and Spitty sharing a bonding moment together drinking up the sunlight.
And since I missed last week's P52 challenge "Shadows" I decided to throw this one in here for you also!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Go drink up some sunshine, or wine, or tea, or hey, Jesus' love! (It is Sunday! And today's sermon was about how much He Lovessss You!) Stay warm friends! xo.

I love the shot of the two of them looking out the front door. Such nice natural lighting!

Your interpretation of "drink up" is AWESOME! Thanks for swinging by my blog too...
ReplyDeleteOoh pretty pictures! I love the idea of drinking something up! Like the sun - it's freezing here, too, I'll take any warmth I can get ; ) Thanks for responding about my pics! I'm REALLY liking that giveaway idea... : ) Email away about etsy! I'm totally an amateur, but I'm definitely learning a lot as I go!
