Hey! Meet some friends!

March 26, 2012 by Susan 1 Comment

Oh hey Monday!  Since I didn’t do anything over the weekend other than attend a couple Open Houses (dream homes I would love to move in to tomorrow if I won the lotto!), a tiny {read tiny not tiny} bit of work, and a whole lot of Netflix watchin’ with Mike (we started watching White Collar.  Any comments on this show?)  -  Because of all that nonsense I don’t have much of a weekend recap for you.  I decided it would be way more exciting to introduce you to a couple of my new blogging friends!  Take a few minutes to check them out, and then leave them some love on their blogs.  They are terrific girls!

Hi lovelies :) I’m Jessica & I blog over at Lovely LIttle Things! I blog to keep creative no matter how busy I get, to appreciate my life, and to meet other bloggers who inspire me. There really is no limit to what you’ll find on my blog. I like to share product reviews, inspirational quotes, organization ideas, good books I read or music I listen to, my triumphs and failures, fun pictures from my everyday life - anything and everything creative. I hope that by continuing with Lovely Little Things that I will discover lots of fun new things about myself (and the not so fun things, too) so that I can grow as a person, and maybe even inspire one or two people along the way! Let’s do life together!

——————————————————————————————-

Hi! I’m Jenn, and I document my adventures at Passenger Seat Perspectives! The name came from me taking pictures from the front seat of our car, since my hubby likes to drive and I like to snap photos as we go. It’s also the way I look at life: I like being along for the ride and seeing what experiences life offers me!

Blogging started for me when I stumbled upon a bunch of fantastic blogs and just loved that such awesome women, ones not with lives not too different from mine, were sharing their ideas and opinions with the world. I definitely wanted to be part of it. I pretty much blog about whatever interests me - from photography to crafts and recipes, from fashion to home life, from daily adventures to what I think and believe, from my hubby to family to friends.

This year, I made a resolution to spend more time with the people I care about, do more of the things I love, have more fun, and just all around live life more to the fullest! I would love if you joined me for the ride. Come visit me, I love making new blogger friends! : )

——————————————————————————————-

we’re daniel and ashley. we met two years ago in sunday school; now we’re planning on spending the rest of our lives together.  i like art and math, and he likes literature and chemistry. he’s seen almost every old movie under the sun, and i’m catching up. we like food and nights spent reading and crocheting by candle light. we like the fall and and tea. we love being with each other.

So there ya have it friends!  A few more blogging friends for you to meet!  Like I said, show them some love.  Because who doesn’t love some love on Mondays?!

Pinteresting Wednesday!

March 7, 2012 by Susan 3 Comments

Since yesterday I brought you a post about something I found on pinterest and actually did (!!! hooray right?!!!) I figured I might as well follow the trend.  Change is overrated anyway… :)

Sooo many of the lovely ladies I follow partake in a weekly Wednesday Link-up with The Vintage Apple called Oh, how Pinteresting!  I decided peer pressure was definitely the way to go with this, and jumped on board.

So here we go!  My first Pinteresting Wednesday!  Hope you like what you see!

I absolutely CANNOT wait to make those delicious treats above!  (I mean, really, I bought the supplies last night - as soon as work is over today, I will be making them.)  But with a twist!  A Paleo Twist!  Almond Butter rather than Peanut Butter.  And of course, dark chocolate!  Mmmm.
via
As long as we are already talking paleo - I was pretty thrilled to find this 2 week meal plan.  This girl has done all the planning, even the grocery list prep!  All I have to do is cook and eat!  So easy even a caveman could do it! (Pun totally intended.)
via
Purple Vintage Plum and Gold wedding inspiration!  No, I am not getting married.  But a girl can dream right?  (Oh, yeah, and I am a wedding planner on the side.)  Do you think this is to JMU-y??  I think it’s beautiful!
via
Definitely wish I was wearing that cute outfit!  This girl is ready for spring and summer!  C’mon sunshine!
via
Realtors, look out!  You may be finding these in your offices!  My plan is to scratch the teacher part and say “I need s’more of your business” … Nothing like bribing you with chocolate for your home warranties! :)  Such a cute idea!
Okay kids!  That’s it for me today!  Thanks to Jessica and Lesley for inspiring me to do this!  Also thanks to The Vintage Apple for hosting!  xoxo

Dear Blog - Link Up!

March 4, 2012 by Susan 5 Comments

Dear 2 cats and chloe blog,

I am very sorry that I cannot call you by your name.  Saying your name makes me feel like I should be talking to my fur-babies, not my computer.  I hope you don’t mind simply being called “blog” - as unexciting as that sounds.

Blog, you have been there for me for several years now.  But you have only gone public for several months.  Thank you for taking the time to be there for me, before you were there for others.  You have grown quite a bit for only entering the third month of your “hey-I-am-here” existence. And I am proud of you.

While most of my friends are watching their real live babies grow, I am watching you grow.  But you are also helping me grow.  Believe it or not, because of your awesomeness, the marketing department of my company actually saw potential in my creative juices.  Thanks to you, dear blog, I have landed myself a new job!  (At least for a 90 day trial period.)  Huzzah!

Thank you for being my creative outlet.  Even when you take up a crap ton of time.  After hours.  On the weekends.  When I should be sleeping.  Or when I find myself needing to kill time by watching train wreck reruns of Jersey Shore.  Blog, in case I don’t say it enough, you are so much cooler than Snooki.

Wanna know the coolest thing about you, sweet sweet blog?  I can talk to you about crafts, zombies, pinterest, or paleo.  And you never get bored and tune me out.

The most coolest part about you?  The 2 cats and Chloe frequent you often, but I never ever have to lint roll you.  Way to be awesome.  More awesome than my pink couch.

No, for real now…  The really coolest bestest part about you?  The new friends I have made, all thanks to you! You really have been quite the friend maker on these here inter-tubes.  Keep it up good buddy, keep it up.

I wish you many year of success, new friends, creative opportunities, and adventures to share.  Thanks for rocking my socks off.  (Because I really dislike socks.)

 Love,
Suz

Ps.  I am linking up with the funny and charming Erin from Living in Yellow today.  I loved this idea - thanks Erin!!

2012 Blogging Linkup & Gift Exchange!

January 31, 2012 by Susan 7 Comments

Before now I had never ever done any kind of blog swap!  But I was extremely excited to see what would come of it!  I signed up and then was partnered with a sweet girl named Ashley from Tennessee!

It didn’t take more more than a minute to realize what I was going to send her!  Her blog’s name is Tea for Two!  TEA!  Of course!  I was so excited!  Alycia with the Crowley Party did a great job of matching us up!

Last week I got a note that I needed to drive to the post office to pick up a package.  I excitedly walked up to the lady and handed her my mail slip.  She came out with a box that had FRAGILE written on the side of it… It just so happened to be the side of the package that was crushed.  I made some sarcastic comment (of course, because that’s what I do) about the condition of the package and walked out.

I loved the contents of my gift!  Chocolates!!  A handmade little bag that will be perfect for must-have-make-up when I am working on the road!  A pretty pretty pink journal!  And what would’ve been an AWESOME decorate yourself Starbucks mug!  (I am going out to buy a new one this week!)

And even though it was broken, I could not resist writing on the mug! :)

Thank you so much Ashley!!  I hope you enjoyed your tea!  And I really hope that the teapot made it there in one piece as well!

I am looking forward to doing something like this again in the future!  If you know of any fun blog swaps please please please let me know!  Happy last day of January friends!!
