One Dress, Worn Two Ways!

This time of year, I really enjoy putting outfits together because you can throw in so many different accessories and tweak you style so easily. I have found that I thoroughly enjoy being “creative” with my clothes. It’s fun to add pops of color, playing with patterns, or even just trying a dress with different pairs of shoes.

My new eShakti dress arrived last week and I was thrilled at it’s perfect fit! And the fact that it has pockets! As a wedding planner, pockets are a must. I’m always toting something! As the the season is changing, I knew I needed to find a sweater or a shawl to go over this sleeveless dress. And let’s be real: all a girl really needs is a cardigan sweater and a pair of comfy riding boots, and she’s good to go!

Half way through my “prep for a few pictures” planning sesh, I realized this damask patterned dress deserved more than just my casual, riding boots look. This dress would be perfect for a hot date or even just a nice dress for working in the office! I paired it with a magenta and gold scarf and a pair of matching heels and voila! I was ready to go out on a nice dinner date with the hubs!

So what do you think? Isn’t a dress like this, one that is so versatile, perfect for real life?! I love following fashion bloggers, but half the time I think “WOW, that’s an awesome look but there’s no way I could pull that look off!” {And by no means do I consider myself to be a fashion blogger, never mind a fashionable blogger!} Versatile dresses like this are perfect for everyone!

I have fallen in love with eShakti. It is such a cool company and concept to me… all of their clothes can be customized to fit your body! When ordering this dress I simply gave them all of my measurements and the dress was cut to fit my body. I could add pockets, or even add and change the sleeves! Personally, I would expect it to cost an arm and a leg to have custom dresses made but their prices are quite reasonable! You can learn more about eShakti on their website, via facebook, via twitter, and even pinterest!

What accessories are you using this season to help make your outfits more versatile?

You really picked out a great dress from eShakti! I worked with them a couple of months ago and it was so much fun. I really love the pockets option! I really love the pop of red the cardi gives to the dress and of course the riding boots are cute, too! Also, love the dressier look!

Thanks!! They are super fun heels! I haven’t been able to wear heels for the past couple of years because of knee injuries. But this year I’m handling them well, which is exciting! :)

Speaking of weddings, eShakti would be such a great idea for bridesmaids! Everyone would have dresses made to fit them and they aren’t super expensive!

  • Erica Wells
