As you may have realized, last week I was I was MIA. Well, not so much missing… I really wasn’t missing. I was working a wedding in The Middle of Nowhere, Virginia with no cell reception, no internet, and very cold temperatures. The temps honestly have nothing to do with the missing Say What, Saturday?! post. I just felt the need to throw it in there, to tell you that we saw snow flurries Sunday morning before we left the mountains en route to the beach. SNOW FLURRIES!! Hello winter?!

In case you were unsure, based on the fact that my blog is named after my cats and my border collie, I am a 50/50 person when it comes to Dogs vs Cats! Go ahead and think I’m nuts, but my dog Chloe has become a furbaby best friend. I have mental issues, realizing that she will be NINE in 2015. I cry about this, probably, once a week. Dogs do not live nearly long enough! Then, on the other hand we have my cat Rockie, who is my baby. Yep, I’m a crazy cat mamma. And I’m okay with that!

In my personal opinion, the best part of blogging is the community! Now that I have opened 2 cats and chloe up to sponsors, I’ve had a great time getting to know new bloggers! 1 // How did you being blogging? Where did you super cute blog name come from? I began writing after finding blogs on Pinterest: I was working as a writer, and thought I’d like to write for fun, too! My original blog name was “The Princess and the Pea” but I wanted something less generic and more me, so I combined my three favorite things! Incidentally, they’re also my favorite subjects to include on my blog.

2 // What do you do for a living, outside of Blogland? I work as a Technical Writer and spend most of my time writing user manuals and how-to guides.

3 // I would love to be a bourbon drinker… What is your favorite? What would you recommend to a newbie like me? Maker’s Mark is my favorite, but I also love Woodford Reserve. Luckily both distilleries are super close to our home! I drink it neat, but Ginger Ale is a great mixer!

4 // Since we are “2 cats and chloe” - Chloe wants to know if you have any fur-babies? No, I’m allergic.

We’ve thought of finding a hypoallergenic dog, but we’re currently not home enough to show it the attention and love it deserves.

5 // It’s November! Do you have any festive fall decorations to share? I skipped pumpkin carving this fall and painted my pumpkins instead. I wrote a tutorial, found here!

7 // What is your most popular blog post to date? Share it with my readers! #LoveYourSelfie: Embracing Your “Imperfections” Not only is it my most popular post to date, it was also my favorite to write.

8 // Anything else you want to share with the 2 cats readers? I began my blog by primarily focusing on beauty, but didn’t want to limit my subject matter. I’ve expanded to include recipes, holidays, and other fun events! And as the title suggests, there are many posts about bourbon (and wine). I live in Kentucky with Jason, my boyfriend of nearly 7 years.
