And the cake. Let me just tell you! Holy Statement Cake. I googled many-a-cake but it didn’t matter. I had a vision. And luckily, I work with one of the best cake people in Hampton Roads {Cake Delights} and she made my vision come true! With a fondant shell, and a dash of glitter here and there, this four tiered cake was perfect.
I could probably go on for hours, reminiscing on all of our wedding details. Sadly Amazingly this post doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of the way-to-many tiny details I had scattered throughout the day for our guests. Was it a bit over board? Yeah, maybe. Did it make me happy? Definitely.
I wanted our wedding day to embrace southern but classic glam, with a dash of fun.
I think I did an okay job at that.
My suggestion to anyone who finds themselves in the midst of planning their own wedding:
Do what makes you happy {but fits in your budget!} Don’t worry about what tradition says you have to have or have to do. It’s your day. Make it something that represents you and your significant other. Make it something that makes you happy.
Oh, and hire a wedding planner. She will help keep you sane and help you along the way. Even if you are a DIY-er.
Today I am linking up with:
For the love of too many details and way too much glitter!
Until next time…

The generations table - what an amazing idea to use their dresses!
The ballroom - SWOON.
The glitter - to die for - loving those tulle table runners!

WOW WOW WOW! I looooove all of these details! Anyone who has you as a coordinator is lucky! I can’t even handle how wonderful the generations table is. That’s so special! We also did a non-traditional guest book (I can’t wait to share that with everyone!).
And oh my goodness the cake. THE CAKE!!! So so so pretty. Your wedding should be in a magazine!
