Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper (for easy clean up)
Cut your sweet potatoes into "fry shapes" and lay them on your baking sheet. (Be sure to use a good knife because sweet potatoes can be tough!)
Drizzle your sweet potato fries with olive oil, then move them all around (I use my hands) to make sure they all have a bit of olive oil on them. You want them to all be covered but not soaked by any means.
Sprinkle the fries with generous amounts of salt and basil.
Bake for 10 minutes. Take them out and shuffle and flip them.
Return to oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
HINT: If you want to crisp them up a bit, flip the oven to broil for the last 1-2 minutes. I personally do not do this because we like them not-super-crispy.
Enjoy!
