The Best Paleo Apple Crisp

Ingredients
  • 2½ Teaspoons of Cinnamon
  • 4 Apples {Peeled or unpeeled per your preference}
  • Lemon Juice
  • ½ Teaspoon of Nutmeg
  • ⅓ Cup of Real Honey {plus one table spoon to drizzle on top of baked crisp}
  • ⅓ Cup of Raisins
  • 6 Tablespoons of Ghee
  • 1 Cup of Almond Flour
  • ¾ Cup of Pecan Halves
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Slice and core apples. {If you prefer them peeled, peel first. I peeled half of mine to vary the texture.}
  3. Lay apple slices in the 9 inch pie dish.
  4. Spritz apple slices with lemon juice.
  5. Sprinkle Cinnamon and Nutmeg over apples evenly. Drizzle Honey over apples. Evenly distribute raisins over apples.
  6. In a separate, microwave safe dish, melt ghee.
  7. Add Almond Flour to melted ghee. Mix until flour becomes crumbly. Add pecans and mix.
  8. Spread Flour/Ghee/Pecan mix over the top of the apples.
  9. Bake in oven at 350 degrees, covered in tin foil, for 30 minutes.
  10. Uncover, drizzle with one tablespoon of honey, bake for another 30 minutes uncovered.
  11. Serve hot.
