She didn’t actually win the bracelet because she tweeted… she won because she was the 14th comment on this post about naked wrists and she subscribed to the email subscription for the blog!   Good thing she follows me on Twitter and saw that last minute reminder!! :)

So congrats Krista!  I know you absolutely love the colors of that red one.  Now what you have to do is send me an email and let me know if you want a similar red one, or any other color!  I will get it made this week and have it sent to you! :)

Say No to Naked Wrists! - GIVEAWAY!

Gooooood Morning Everyone!  Especially those visiting from Living in Yellow!  Erin’s awesome isn’t she?!  Anyway, I am super excited about today because just like yesterday, you are totally in the right place at the right time!  Here’s the deal…  

I love fun jewelry!  You know those pandora bracelets?  The ones with the fun and colorful beads?  Yeah, those.  I love them!  But I don’t love spending a trillion dollars on one or two of those decorative beads either.  So… I started making Pandora styled bracelets myself!  And hopefully, by the end of this week, I will have my own etsy shop up and running!  I know!  Hooray!  

Do you want to be one of the first to get your hands on one of my lovely bracelets?!  You totally can!  But here’s the catch!  I do not actually have a bracelet made up for you yet!  I wanted to wait and see who the winner is first.  That way you can have a little bit of a say in what color beads you will get!  Again, can I get another Hooray?!  

When you win - we will get in touch and you can let me know what color, or color combo you want!  All whites?  Purple and gold like the one above?  Maybe you want a black and white one that will go with a million different outfits.  Are you one of my Keller Williams agents… we could do a red and black one for you!  Or green for St. Patties day by chance?  Possibilities are endless friends!  And I will leave that up to you.  (Actual bead choices will be made by me.  Color choice will be up to you though.)

Ladies and gents!  The results are in!  I numbered all of the comments, gfc followers, email followers, fb followers… and the number that the random number generator generated was lucky number 7!

 I was super excited to refer back to my list and see who number seven was… And then I was even more excited to find out that it was this girl!!  

I promise there was absolutely no bribery involved in her win!  I was just shocked it was her because just a few hours ago she left me a comment on this morning’s post saying “Please oh please let me win the tea set!”  Glad to see it’s going to someone who really really wanted to win!  :)
Thanks to all of the new followers and all your great comments!  The best part about blogging is the community building that comes from it!  And if you didn’t win, which I realize is most of you, I THINK I might have a fun thing coming up again in a couple of weeks… stay tuned!

After spending most of the day working on my computer I had to bundle back up and drag my HEAVY trashcan to the front of the house.  {The city decided it was time to give us real trashcans.  As opposed to the fake ones we have had for years and years!  I am five foot seven and this trashcan is almost up to my shoulders!! It is GINORMOUS!)  I put my pink, light up, ball cap on and ventured out.  After the can almost rolled me down the hill towards the lake, I put my game face on and got the trash to the street. Yes I just wrote 4 lines about my trashcan.} 

I really do have a pink hat with a light on it! Nerd Alert!

Anyway - the point to the trashcan ramble was that in the midst of fighting with a human sized trashcan I realized that tomorrow is Friday.  Friday the 10th.  Which means the first ever 2 cats & chloe giveaway winner will be announced tomorrow!  Which also means that if you are a new reader, you need to get your butt in gear and get yourself qualified to win!  You have until 12 noon (east coast time) on 2.10.  Click here and do what it says!  Pronto!

P52 Week 4 - Self Portrait (and I’m giving away something too!)

I love that Project 52 has forced me to get my camera out and actually think about taking a picture, at least once a week.  And hey - we’ve made it to week four so way to go fabulous folks!

This week’s theme was “Self-Portrait.”  Let me walk you through my thought process of this one.

Self Portrait?  Really?!

That means I have to brush my hair.

And find my tripod.

Ooooh maybe there should be something sparkly in my photo, because I love sparkles.

Well, what else do I love?

I love my house, even though it has been a headache lately.

Brrr.  I am so cold in this house.  Hot tea would be great right now.

I love decorating my mantle.

I love purple and gold.

I love to travel.  A trip to a warm island sure would be nice.

I love my giant “make a difference” mug.

Oh, I do love giving people presents too.  How could I incorporate that into a photo though?

After much, much more of that nonsense above I decided on the photo, a few of the things I love to put into the photo, and a giveaway I can host on my blog!  No, it’s not a trip to a warm island.  Sorry folks.  The sales job just doesn’t pay enough for that.  
After many attempts with lighting and posing, this was the last shot I took.  By that point I was getting tired and needed to get some more real work done.  I felt like this photo would give you a little more insight into my life.  I am in love with scarves and wear them as much as possible, even when I am indoors.  I am half way through redecorating my mantle for Valentine’s Day.  If you look closely at the fireplace you can see the santa hat on my snowman decoration that is still out from Christmas.  The quilt in the right was hand made for me by my aunt and my grandmother.  I wear fake pandora jewelry (but no one can tell.)  I like tea.  Oh and wine too (notice over my shoulder?) Hey!  The island vacation made it in the shot too!  See the 5 o’clock somewhere sign with palm trees?!  I totally didn’t plan that!  Score!
What’s that you ask?  Oh right!  I did say something about loving to give people presents!  Well get excited.  We are having a little give away here at 2 Cats & Chloe.  Do you see that blue teapot?  It’s not mine.  But it might be yours!  :)

My family has our own little tea cafe & restaurant in North Carolina.  It’s called The Carriage House.  I was talking to my mom about how I want to try to grow my blog this year, and that I thought it would be fun to do some sort of giveaway.  Together we came up with this brilliant plan!  Here is what you can win:

Bourbon Street Vanilla Rooibos - It has a delicious creamy vanilla flavor. I love this one!
Monk’s Blend - Just a good go-to tea for me
Cochin Masala Chai - Probably my most favorite chai we offer at the cafe! Add some extra sugar and milk… chai tea latte?!  Yes please!
Carriage House Apple Spice - This one reminds me of fall :)
Peppermint - This one was a last minute decision.  If you are sick or have been fighting with a seasonal cold, you need this.
