Say What, Saturday?! Thanksgiving Traditions and Treats!

November 15, 2014 by Susan 3 Comments

It’s that time of the week again… It’s Saturday! A day notorious around Blogland as a day when nothing really happens. Except around these parts! It’s Say What, Saturday?! The day where I ask my sponsors a simply question and they all give me their fun and unique answers! Today, we are talking about Turkey Day!

Thanksgiving Injuries

As for me, our holiday traditions are changing. This will be our second Thanksgiving as a married couple. Last year we went to his family’s house. This year we are hosting everyone at our house! An older tradition that I used to love was after we all stuff our faces, the family would go for a walk. My sister, being a photographer, would always bring along her creativity and we would have a mini-turkey day photo shoot. Oh, I also REALLY like my tradition of going to the gym Thanksgiving morning. I typically hate the gym, but I love it that morning. There’s no one there, and you feel like you are prepping your body for the eats-to-come! {The picture above was from Thanksgiving in 2010… after the gym… after tearing a muscle… before stuffing my face. And yes, that is a sweet sweet heating pad I wore the entire day.}

Now it’s your turn! What is one of your favorite Thanksgiving Traditions or Treats?

    Gathering at one of my aunt’s homes as they rotated the Thanksgiving venue. I always anticipated certain dishes cooked by aunts and mother. The macaroni au gratin and the turkey stuffing are my faves!
